One of my favorite organizations I support and sit on the board of directors of is
JARC, which works to improve the lives of those with developmental disabilities and their families. They've got one of the best slogans ever:
enriching lives and erasing barriers. Among the things JARC does is operate group homes. At the beginning of the summer, I had the honor of planting flowers at one of the homes with a couple of great girls, also volunteering their time. Bonus: we looked great doing it!

Just last week, I got to see how nicely the flowers had grown in and spread!
The best part about this is knowing that the residents love to see the flowers brighten up their home and bring them a few extra smiles.
What mitzvot (good deeds) have you performed lately?
Please share them in the comments.
